PageShield ("we", "us", "our") operates pageshield.co.uk. This policy explains how we collect, use and protect your personal data when you use our website and services.

We collect the following personal data:
- Account data — your name, email address, domain name and billing details when you sign up.
- Contact form submissions — name, email, company name and message content.
- Payment data — payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your card details. We receive a confirmation of payment and your Stripe customer ID.
- Usage data — your IP address, browser type and pages visited, collected automatically via server logs.
2. How we use your data
- To provision and manage your WordPress hosting service.
- To send transactional emails — welcome emails, magic login links, monthly reports, security alerts.
- To respond to contact form enquiries.
- To process payments via Stripe.
- To monitor platform health and investigate security incidents.
3. Data storage and security
Your data is stored on servers located in the United Kingdom (DigitalOcean London). All backups are encrypted before upload to Backblaze B2 storage. Access to production systems is restricted to authorised personnel only.
We use Postmark to send transactional emails and Stripe for payment processing. Both are GDPR-compliant processors.
4. Data retention
- Account data is retained for the duration of your subscription and for 90 days after cancellation.
- Backup data is retained for 30 days after your last backup and then permanently deleted.
- Contact form submissions are retained for 12 months.
5. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, email us at privacy@pageshield.co.uk. We will respond within 30 days.
6. Cookies
We use a single session cookie to keep you logged into your dashboard. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify active customers of material changes by email.
